Templates are a great way of launching your website without needing much design knowledge, just pick one you like, add text, switch images, add your domain and you are good to go!

Today we will be taking a look at, in my opinion, 10 best Webflow templates that you can use both for free and paid to build your website in very little time.

Before we start I want to make one thing clear, you might find a template you like but there are still some things that you would like edited, like colors, layout of particular section, fonts and other things, in that case if you are not familiar with Webflow I would still recommend hiring a Webflow expert to do the job for you instead of you wasting a lot of time.

What is important to look for in a Webflow template?

Not all templates are made the same, some are aimed towards small businesses, some towards e-commerce brands, some towards portfolio websites and it would be very hard to adapt templates that are made for different purposes to fit for your specific needs.

Also important thing to look into is which Webflow plan is template using. Different templates use different hosting plans and if you are not prepared to pay for that plan going forward it would be best to go with a different template. For example you might like some template that utilizes Webflow’s CMS futures, but you know you won’t use them and that it is too expensive for you, in that case you might consider going with a different template.

Most of the templates on Webflow’s marketplace are very well built but here are some general things you should look for in them:

  • SEO optimized
  • Number of pages
  • Use of CMS
  • Minimalistic animation
  • General look and feel

10 Best Webflow Templates Rankings

Here are my personal picks for best Webflow templates in 2023.
I split this list in 2 parts, first is free templates and second is paid so everyone can find best fit for them.

Free Templates

1. FITNESSO (Free)

Fitnesso

Fitnesso is a free template that is aimed towards fitness coaches that want to sell their premium packages online, schedule calls, or collect emails with free classes & resources.

It utilizes Webflow’s ecommerce plan that comes with all the CMS futures plus e-commerce solutions that can help you scale your business.

What I most like about this template besides visual appeal is its proven track record of conversion. Every single thing on the page is aimed for visitors to enroll into whatever you decide to sell using your website which is most businesses main goal anyways.

2. PORTFOLIO WEBSITE (FREE)

Portfolio Website

Portfolio website is one of the most cloned websites on Webflow’s marketplace and there is a good reason for it.

It is free, utilizes basic Webflow plan and has all the futures good portfolio website should have, so if you are looking to build simple, minimalistic portfolio website for yourself or a friend, look no further than this template.

The thing I like most about it is its perfect use of Webflow’s animation. It’s very easy to overdo animations on a webpage which takes away from the thing people come to the website for in the first place, which is in this case a showcase of your work and how you are.

3. THE AGENCY (FREE)

The Agency

The Agency is also a free template which is aimed towards marketing and web design agencies.
It is listed under made in Webflow section, and utilizes the basic plan. It also has an option to be customized to become a website with CMS futures that can write a blog or anything else that requires a content management system.

What is really cool about this template is its use of animations, but unlike previous examples this template went above and beyond with them. I know I said it’s not good practice to add too many animations but in this case it works because it’s made for design and marketing agencies and it should showcase some sort of advanced skill and what your clients should expect when hiring them.

4. MANKA (FREE)

Manaka

Manka is a very popular blog template that is used in WordPress, but now we also have it in Webflow.

It uses CMS futures of Webflow as expected for a blog template and has minimal amount of animations on it which is also very common.

What makes it great is the fact that it is very clean and elegant, has no over the top animations and moving parts and keeps the reader engaged throughout the entire blog post. It follows all the principles that good blog should have and that is the reason I am placing it this high on the list.

5. MODULAR (FREE)

Modular

Modular is a template that is created for online stores of any kind but mostly fashion.

It uses e-commerce platform and has a great overall design and feel scrolling around it. Also it is very optimized for conversion which is the main goal of all online stores.

What drew my eyes towards it is the minimalistic yet modern look that this template has. It is straight to the point but also engaging and fun. In my eyes it has everything that the online store should have and is also free to clone, for what more can you ask?

Paid Templates

6. PROFOLIO (49$)

Webflow Portfolio

Profolio is another Webflow template that is a great representation of what a good portfolio website should look like and what it should contain.

It uses a CMS plan, which is a little bit different than most of the portfolio websites, but this one took into account the fact that you might want a personal blog on your website and also provided great design for it.

What is most impressive to me about this template is the fact how well rounded it is. What I mean by that is that it has every component of a good portfolio website, great visual appeal, animations, testimonials, call to actions, blog and many others, which makes it as I said before very well rounded.

7. TECHPLUS X (79$)

TECHPLUS-X

TechPlus X is a template that is created for modern tech and SaaS businesses, and it hits the nail on the head for me.

It is meant to be used with e-commerce site plan since we all want to be able to accept payments through our website.

It follows modern guidelines of web design which is what caught my eyes initially. It has a tech vibe all throughout the website with fonts, coloring and call to actions which makes it the perfect template if you are in tech space in any way shape or form.

8. APARTB 128 (79$)

Aartb-128

Apartb 128 is a template that is supposed to be used in the Real Estate space but in my opinion it can be converted to fit a much wider array of businesses.

It utilizes CMS hosting which is in my opinion the best option for this type of website because of how versatile it is. You can have a blog, you can have a list of houses that are available that you can easily update and also you can have agents in your company, in any case you will have all the tools you need to make a great website.

The one thing that stands out to me is how adaptable it is, as I said it is built for Real Estate businesses, but I can very easily see it being adapted to pretty much any traditional business if needed.

9. BRANDWAVES (49$)

BrandWave

Brandwaves is another portfolio template that is tailored mostly for freelancers, which is one of the reasons it caught my eyes.

It uses a CMS plan which is nothing out of the ordinary for a freelance website.

What made it appealing to me is the use of Webflow’s typography to the highest level. All the way throughout the website you can see the examples of excellent use of very fun and engaging typography but it’s done so well that nobody can say it takes away from the main thing people come to the website for.

10. AI-CONNECT (29$)

AI Content Website Template

In today’s day and age no template list can exist without some sort of AI content landing page, and this one won’t either. AI-Connect is a great example of what a good tech based landing page should look like.

It is just a landing page which means you can use it with any hosting you want.

It has everything you would want in a landing page, great look and feel, strong call to action, minimalistic animation, I mean what more are you looking for? Also it can be very easily adapted for any purpose not just AI content which is also a plus in my book.

Is it Good to Use a Template for a Website?

The answer is it depends on what you are looking for.

If your goal is just to have your website up and running as soon as possible, then the answer is yes, but it comes with a couple of drawbacks.

You might run into issues that people have already seen the design of your website and mistake it for another one, which is why I recommend that if you decide to go the template route, still pay a little extra for someone to customize it for you.

My recommendation is always to go full custom rout where you can pick and choose what you like and what you don’t like, but I also understand that you might be on a budget and can’t afford to pay someone a lot of money to build it for you so just keep in mind things I mentioned above and you will be good.

Is it worth making Webflow templates?

This part here is for my fellow designers.

I know you heard there is a lot of money to be made making templates for WordPress or some other web builders and that is true but not entirely.

I agree, you can make money making templates and selling them on Webflow marketplace, but from my experience people that want their websites specifically built in Webflow do that because of its ability to have a fully custom solution to their website and not because they want the same website someone else already have.

So yes, it can make you some money but I would not expect it to make you a millionaire overnight.
